Since the beginning of my junior year, my goal has been to use tennis as the stepping stone to get myself into college and succeed in the near future. I live with a single mother and two sisters which adds a lot of stress into searching for the right college. To cut down on this stress I have decided to dedicate myself to the life long sport of tennis for my chance of receiving scholarships.
I will make a good candidate in any team because I am an extremely fast learner and will continue to work hard until it is all over. I have been playing tennis for as long as I can remember(5 years old). My mother placed in the final 4 for doubles at the state tournament which is another goal i am working toward during the 2015-2016 year. I train with Johnny Connors ( Brother of Jimmy Connors ) out of season to make sure I am ready for action way before season actually begins.
Something that sets me apart from other athletes is my composure on the court. Athletically, I am physically sound. I execute my quick lateral speed and accurate footwork to the best of my ability every match. I am 6 feet tall which gives me a definite advantage on both my service and my net game. . I have not always been as calm and collected on the court. It took me many years of competing in junior tournaments and competing with friends to rid myself of all nervousness while on the court. I do what i can to remain in a positive posture from match start to match end. I am unique academically in the sense that I can always find time to hit the books or the computers to educate myself on the subjects that I need to improve myself on. Since I do not have a favorite subject, however the subject I find most challenging is Trigonometry. Thank you for taking the time to find out more about me and my athletic/academic aspirations.
