Hi Coaches-
I've been playing tennis competitively since I was 10 years old. I'm very passionate about our sport, and consider myself to be a very driven competitor! I have a game that is definitely still developing and am considered "highly coachable." I have had an injury twice in the past six months and have actively been in physical therapy to become healthy. I have only been able to play two tournaments over the past six months and have had good results in the tournaments I have played. I am fully healed and ready to compete and increase my ranking. My GPA is 3.9 and I'm interested in pursuing a degree in Business. I've played 3 years in the #1 spot on my high school varsity tennis team, and am looking forward to becoming Captain next year. I have very strong leadership skills and am looking forward to this responsibility. One of my activities during the last 3 years, was to become a Special Olympics tennis coach. In addition, I founded a Special Olympics "Tennis Racquet Donation Drive." I've been able to collect over 300 used racquets, and have restrung and gripped them all. It has given me great pleasure to have donated them to various Special Olympic tennis teams all over California. Knowing that every player can have a tennis racquet of their own and enjoy the sport that I love, has been a great gift to myself as well! I am an extremely dedicated and hard working tennis player, with many tournaments played over the last several years. Over the last 3 years , I have been able to participate in the Junior World Team Tennis tournaments as well. It has been my goal for several years to play on a highly competitive college tennis team. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a bit about me!
