Swimming has been a major part of my life ever since I was little. Having been influenced by my my teammates from my club and highschool, I really started to focus on my traing druing my freshman yar of highschool. Howver, near the begining of the swimming seasons in both my freshman and sophmore years, I suffered from stress fractures in my lower spine. Because of this, my first full season in serious training has been my junior year, and although my times may be for from the top swimmers in my year, I expect to greatly improve in my senior year, and beyond. I know that I may seem to be an unlikely candidate for a Division 1 swim team, due to my times, but I also know that coaches value dedication, passion, and hardwork, and I Know that I have these qualities; I did, after all, literally brake my back doing one of the things I love most in life, and I don't think many kids can say that. And not only am I a hardworking athlete, I also take my academics very seriously, maintaining a GPA of above a 3.9, with honors and AP classes, and scoring above a 2000 on my SAT.
