Ken Richardson '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ken Richardson, I am 6 foot 1 inch and weigh 165 pounds. Some of my greatest accomplishments include coming in 8th place at eastern zones in the 100 meter breaststroke when I was 14, and going to ymca nationals for the past three years. Also, I have placed in the top 15 in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at my high school district championships and as a freshman made honorable mention and as a sophomore made second team.Since first grade I have participated in the boy scouts and have learned a lot about leadership and how to work well with others. I enjoyed being senior patrol leader and recently completed my Eagle requirements. I am waiting for my board of review. I always try to get my team motivated and love cheering on my teammates when I am not swimming. I want to go to school in at least a somewhat rural area because that is the type of area I have spent my entire childhood, but I would be willing to try different types of areas depending on the type of education I can get. I am looking to find a middle sized school of any division level, as long as I have an opportunity to improve in my swimming career. My major goal is to participate on a college swim team where I have team mates to push me to do my best and a fun coach to help me improve my strokes and stamina. I am undecided for a major, but plan to work hard acadecially.
