Hi, my name is Davis Meyn and when at the age of 4, I saw my sister swim, I knew thats what I wanted to do. I started when I was five and have been a dedicated swimmer ever since. I push myself in and out of the pool. I am always working to improve my times, being able to compete at the IHSA Sectional meet as a junior has been only one of the highlights of my swimming career thus far. Narrowly missing the IHSA state cut (by .06) has made my focus and determination even greater. As a 17 year old senior, I know that my age and growth are still working to my advantage, at 6'4" and 180lbs, and growing- I know my potential to continue to improve my technique and times is just the beginning of what I hope to accomplish and just waiting for a college coach to see my full potential. While, I also work to make my grades the best they can be, I continue to improve in all areas of academics, including being nominated to my high schools Mentor Council leadership role and Retreat Leader.
As I continue to drive myself 45 mins each way to practice daily/x2, I know that my goals will be obtained through hard work and continued improvement in and out of the pool.
