2016 HighlightsPersonal Statement
My name is Spencer Walker and I have had a passion for swimming since I was very young. I come from a family of swim coaches. My mother and father both coach club level swimming, and my father is my high school coach. An aunt and three uncles coach various levels from club to collegiate.
I currently compete for the Academy Bullets Swim Club, and am a junior at Lyons Township High School. I believe hard work is the key to success. I contribute much of my success to my teammates training around me, along with the support and guidance from my coaches.
I am hard-working and dedicated, and can offer a program some event versatility. I hope to find a college that is a good fit for me, challenging me academically while providing the assistance that will help me be a successful student-athlete.

- 2017 Academy Bullets Swim club (Elite Team)
- Elite Team is the highest level within the Academy Bullets Swim Club. Swimmers on the Elite Team make a year-round commitment to the sport and club. Practice is offered six times per week for two-three hours. The focus of this group is excellence at the national level. Athletes must maintain 90% practice attendance to be allowed to train in the group. More specific training is done based on stroke and distance (ie: sprint, mid-distance, distance, IM, etc.). Most athletes in this group go on to swim in college. Swimmers wishing to join this group must be placed by Coach Mike Laurich and Coach Todd Capen. All swimmers in this group are expected to compete for the Academy Bullets in the highest level meet for which they qualify.
