I started my club swimming experience when I was 11 years old. Since starting, my enthusiasm for swimming has grown tremendously. I enjoy feeling challenged in the pool. Swimming has taught me how to prioritize my work and manage my time better. I enjoy all the freestyle events. Currently my best performance is in the 200, 500, and 1000 yard events. However, I seem to be improving my sprints as I put on muscle from my weight training. I also enjoy the backstroke and IM events. Coach Alexandrov has been improving my breaststroke and I look forward to seeing my times drop in the 200 and 400 IM. My Sophomore year I won two CIF titles in the 200 Free and 500 Free as well as awarded Frontier League Swimmer Of The Year.
I swim under Mike Alexandrov, who is a two time Olympic swimmer for Bulgaria, is currently on the US National team, and swims for Trojan swim club. Hearing his stories about international swim meets is very exciting and inspirational to many of us on the team.
I hope to go to a school that will challenge me with a swim team, as well as in the class room and offer me many different career paths and oppertunities. My goals for my junior year are to go under 4:35.00 in the 500 free, under 1:40.00 in the 200 free and win another CIF title in both those events. My long term goal is to compete at the collegiate level as well as win NCAA.
