Bradley Newton '16 Recruiting Profile

I am a 17 year old, 6'2" swimmer from Saratoga, CA. I have successfully completed three seasons of high school swimming and I am about to start my senior year.

Freshman year, I had a successful season. I finaled in the 500 free at the CIF Central Coast Section (CCS) championship meet, achieved the Varsity Award for Saratoga High School, was a member of the CCS Scholastic Championship Team for the sport of Boys Swimming, and was given the award of Most Valuable Freshman.

Sophomore year, I again finaled in the 500 free at the CIF Central Coast Section (CCS) championship meet, and also finaled as a member of the 400 free relay team.

In California, we recently completed high school swim season.  For junior year, I was able to final in both the 500 and 200 freestyle at CCS.  Also, I was a member of the Los Gatos High School 200 free relay, and our time at sections qualified us for the inaugural California State Swimming & Diving Championship.  Our relay finished 12th in the State of California, and my 50 free split was a 21.14.

I have been a year round club swimmer since I was eight years old, and started in the water on my local cabana team at five.  I am currently swimming with the National Group for De Anza Cupertino Aquatics.

I am attending an academically rigorous high school and I am pursuing a tough college prep curriculum.
