Personal Statement

My dream is to go through a top college to become a mechanical engineer and use that knowledge and skill not only to design great products to improve everyday life or push the cutting edge of technology, but also to make a difference in less privileged places by using the gifts I have been given to serve and aid others. I love training as a competitive swimmer because it constantly forces me to think of how I can improve, looking for new knowledge and how to apply it -- a ciritcal skill for life and engineering. Also, it keeps me in shape and provides the mental and physical stamina to be prepared for whatever God may have planned for my life, whether it be working as a missionary and humanitarian engineer half-way around the world or working as an engineer at home, having a family, and staying involved with my local Master's Swimming team. If i were able to swim in college, I would not only be able to continue building upon all this, but also to take my competition to the next level and get to enjoy the full experience of college athletics.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
