Jordan Ward '14 Recruiting Profile

For the past few years I decided to make a difference in society. I began this journey by reaching out locally and helped organize a run-walk to support cancer research in my community. This was good, but not enough, so I decided to outstretch further by joining my church in multiple missions trips to Minneapolis and El Salvador for several weeks at a time. I then teamed up with a group in Ohio to be the Athletic Director at a camp for abused children. It was then where I realized over that tough week exactly what my goals in life are. It seems that so many times people just want to look out for themselves solely for self gain. However, my goal is to use my self motivation and inner drive to make a difference to everyone I interact with. My goal is to positively influence people to be the best they can be; to strive and dig deep in themselves. The only way I feel I can do this is to continue to dig deep in myself, to strive for excellence while developing all essentials needed in the future life ahead of me-college, the workforce, my family, the future.
