Before this past year I had always been one of the top players on the team. I always started, I always played very well during the games. Tryouts were coming up and my goal was to make the top team for my age. However, that was going to be difficult because I got moved up an age group so that meant I was going to be playing against some very big kids. I did end up making the team, although, I wasn't really getting the same amount of attention and playing time as I had before. I was used to scoring one-two goals a game and then there I was sitting on the bench. This was a life changing moment in my life because I realized that I wasn't going to get anywhere by just practicing with my team three times a week. I needed to devote my life to getting better every single day and that is what I did. This year I made Varsity as a freshman.
I would be a good candidate for any team because I am willing to put in the work. I will push myself and my teammates to get better every single day. It has been my goal to play collegiate soccer ever since I was a little kid. I will work myself beyond my limits academically and with soccer.
