Anthony D'Angelo '14 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Anthony D’Angelo, a name proudly passed down through four generations of the D’Angelo family. I am someone who has a long history connected to my name and someone with a strong Italian heritage; both of these things have shaped me to be the person I am today. I have a strong appreciation for my family’s experiences both as immigrants to the United States and as hardworking businessmen in the construction business.

     D’Angelo Bros. Inc., is the family construction business that began in 1911 by Anthony D’Angelo and his brothers. My father, along with his brothers, began working in the family construction business when he was 15 years old and in high school. He worked tirelessly through college and continues to support the family with his work ethic and strong conviction. D’Angelo Bros. Inc. is a second home to my father and to each of the brothers, uncles, and cousins involved in the family business. Every D’Angelo, including myself, feels a sense of great pride for the businessman that my great-great-grandfather was.

     My family has never given up on the opportunity to make something of itself. As a fourth generation Anthony D’Angelo, I hope to earn my college degree and to continue the D’Angelo legacy by working in the family business. While they may be big shoes to fill, I have been given great role models who have paved the way for me. I hope to be the fourth generation Anthony D’Angelo who paves the way for the fifth generation.
