Nathan Fox '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’10”, 150 pound Defender from Biglerville, Pennsylvania.  Currently I am a Senior on the Biglerville High School soccer team. We made it to the top 4 in the state of Pennsylvania this season! I played Gettysburg Club soccer for 5 years and now play for the Chambersburg Sharks (CYSA) U18 travel team. We won the PA President's Cup in May and made it to the top 4 in regionals. We placed 3rd in an international cup in Disney World this past July.  I was selected for the High School All-Conference 2nd Team in my Sophomore and Junior years and 1st team this year.   I was Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2010. I played strictly Varsity during my Sophomore and Junior years; as a Freshman I played both Junior Varsity and Varsity and started the District Championship Varsity match, which we won.  I also played in the 1^st round of States as a Freshman.   Other than my defensive abilities including well-placed slide tackles,  my "claim to fame" is my long, accurate throw-in.   My coaches also tell me I have a high soccer IQ.

I will graduate in 2013 and have a 3.23 average as well as a perfect attendance record for my Sophomore year, missed one day in my Junior year (for the regional soccer tournament in New Hampshire) and have a perfect attendance thus far this year. 

Regarding college preferences, the size of the school does not matter to me.  I prefer somewhere less crowded because that is what I am used to, but I am open to change. Being close to home is my preference as well, but I am also open to traveling.  I am going to school to learn, so a good academic program is important to me.   Being able to play soccer during my Freshman year would be great.
