Charlie Platia, III '15 Recruiting Profile

My dream is to play college soccer & study criminal justice so I can become a police officer and then go into the CIA when my playing career is over. I have finished my high school playing career with 500 career saves and an .800 save percentage. Played on two district runner up teams and two sectional runner up teams, and had a 22-25-8 record as the starting keeper in my three years as a varsity starter. Made 3 all conference teams, 2 News Herald All Star Teams, 1 Cleveland Plain Dealer All Star Team & was a 2014 Cleveland D2 & 3 all star game participant in my career. I possess good leadership, have excellent reflexes along with a great vertical leap and have very long fingers and excellent hands and catching ability. And I am one of the best shot stoppers in the state of Ohio...I'm also very dedicated & I'm currently training with the top goal keeper coach in the Cleveland area. I'm very coachable & learn very fast, I'm also a very good student of the game. I want to play D2 or JC soccer at the next level & then move onto a D1 or 2 school if I play junior college soccer. Academically I have a 2.4 accumulate GPA and haven't got below a 2.5 my junior year and the first grading period this year (2.9) so I've improved my grades since my first two years of high school, got an 18 on my ACT with a 23 in Math & 22 in Science...I also have an IEP in Language Arts and Reading.
