Ian Hamilton '11 Recruiting Profile

I am currently a high school senior, starting goalkeeper and Co-Captain for the Cincinnati United Redhawks Premier rising U18 Team (Buckeye Premier League) ranked 8th in Ohio. My desire is to play soccer at the college level starting in the 2011 - 2012 academic year. In researching colleges, I am identifying those institutions that offer a Physical Therapy curriculum, which is my career goal. Finding a college that offers both men's varsity soccer and a physical therapy or pre-physical therapy program is very important to me. *** I started playing soccer at 4 years old, club soccer at 8 years old, and keeper exclusively since age 7. Now at 17 years old, 6 ft. 2 in. and 180 lbs., I believe that my strongest athletic attributes are physical stature, personal health, injury-free, significant playing time, ability to read offenses, leadership skills in directing defenses, hand-eye coordination, vertical and lateral leap, solid technique, and aggressive play. *** I did not play high school soccer until my senior year due to the requirements of Lakota West High School's nationally ranked band program. I play alto saxophone in Symphonic Winds (top concert band) and tenor saxophone soloist in the West jazz Ensemble (top jazz band).
