I have been playing soccer ever since I can remember. I enjoy playing and watching other competitive sports, but there is nothing quite like soccer. Though I have been kicking soccer balls around ever since I could walk, my first organized soccer began around the age of nine with the Toledo Celtics. I have been playing ever since. One major goal I have for college is to improve not only in soccer but also in academics. I am an average student and usually get pretty good grades in all my subjects although math can be a challenge. This year, however, I plan to push myself to exceed my standards on and off the field.
Along with several years of playing sports I have picked up a lot of things I believe that make me a good candidate for any soccer team. I keep my body in great physical condition on- and off-season through running and participating in other sports like cross country and track. The years of playing at premier club as well as on a varsity team has taught me the important aspects of operating as a team, working hard, being competitive, and having technical ability. My above average technical skills and dribbling ability along with my speed make me a dangerous player on the field. My years of playing and knowledge of the game have made me a versatile player that can play every position effectively. I am a hard worker for whatever team I am playing for, and I continue to give all my effort no matter the time or the score . I take constructive criticism well as it is essential to improving. I play for the team and my teammates rather than myself. Overall, I believe I would make a good addition to any college team.
