Something deep in my character allows me to take the hits and get on with trying to win -Lionel Messi
The quote is my start! With every end there can be a new beginning. With a new head coach I was part of this new start of building a foundation not just for our school but the community as well. The involvement and the dedication were building blocks and the trying started to become a better success story when my characteristics and the skills I posses were equal to each challenge and there commitment not only on the pitch but my academic goals. My accomplishments and my achievements are now recognized by not only my family but my coach, teammates, opponents and now even my teachers. The pride I hold while on the field has helped me (take the hit) stand strong, become a leader and share the growth together with every youth player or team I have been associated with. There is always a balance in life and now I feel that with this balance I know I am more then capable of becoming a college athlete at a high level and be able to excel in the classroom as well.
One day I may have my own quote but whats more important is that my direction will continue to be defined by my heart and soul!
