Personal Statement

I am 5'4 from East Meadow, NY. I am in my senior, and will be graduating in 2015. Right now i have 5 years of club soccer experience 3 with the East Meadow Tornadoes which i have captained for all 3 years and 2 year with East Meadow Arsenal/Npl97. I play Right back but earlier in my year have played other positions i am very flexable. I played School ball at WT Clarke High School in Westbury where i have played varsity for 3 years now. We made playoffs all three years i was on the varsity team. My senior year our back line was tied for 2nd with the least goal allowed in our conference, i was named 1 of 3 captains, and was voted and awarded All conference as a defender. I would love to attend a college that gives me an excellent chance of a great education and which will allow me to play soccer. I am open minded towards all colleges but aiming for D3 possibly d2. I would most likely major in physical education, athletic training, or sports and fitness mangement but no sure yet.

Player ability: One of Rodolfo's greatest strength's is his versatility. He has in the past and will continue to be one of those players that are moved around from position to position at any given time based on the team's needs. Whether he is playing in the back, playing midfield, or playing forward, I know that I have a reliable player in whichever position I put him in. Although he is not the biggest player on my team, he is one of the most physical players on the team. It is common to see him going into tackles and the other player ending up on the ground and the ball ending up at Rodolfo's feet as a result of one of his hard and clean tackles. Rodolfo started playing organized soccer later than several of his teammates, but due to athletic ability, he has improved significantly and surpassed the skills of others and has become a regular in the starting line-up in such a short period of time. I am excited to see Rodolfo's development over the next couple of years to see where he ends up playing. Personality: Rodolfo is an ambitious leader who wants nothing more than for his team to succeed. Whether he is on the field or off the field he is always motivating the other players on the team to work harder. He is the team's vocal leader. During warm-ups he is talking to everyone getting them pumped up for the game and even throughout the duration of the game he is the positive voice on the field at all times. During practice he is always the person on the team that is demanding more of all the players in a positive manner. As a Co-Captain on our team, Rodolfo is always calling all the players and trying to organize Captain's practices in the off-season to help prepare for the upcoming season. Rodolfo is a pleasure to coach and it is any coach's dream to have a player like Rodolfo on his team.

Player ability: Rodolfo is a very hard working individual and never gives up. He can play the entire game with an amazing amount of energy and quality. He continuously is looking for more games to play and has never missed any sessions or scrimmages or games. He plays for school and for club with the same energy and intensity and has been steadily improving his skills and his physical fitness. He is definitely an asset on the team. Even when put up against older players that are much bigger Rodolfo has a way to neutralize them. Personality: Rodolfo is a great teammate, he is friendly pleasant thoughtful and definitely very coachable. All his teammates love him. He has served the team as a team captain with great success. He is very respectful of all coaches, teammates, opponents and officials. He is a great asset to our team and has been a great mentor to our younger and newer players. He is a great player and a great young man. You have to meet him.
