It is my goal to attend a competitive college that will challenge me intellectually and athletically. I plan to major in business. While at college, I also want to meet a wide variety of people and have a solid group of friends. Being on a team would help to fulfill that goal. I would also like to be a scholarship athlete. Academics are a priority for me and I find that when I’m playing a sport, I am more successful in the classroom. It forces me to manage my time more efficiently and I feel more focused when I’m active. I would make a strong candidate for your team because I am a strong leader, I am competitive, and I am definitely a bit of a perfectionist. In the classroom, I compete with my peers to do the best that I can and on the field the fierce competition fuels my desire to push myself to continue to achieve higher goals. I will never settle for average. I also try to motivate the players around me through communication and leading by example. Leadership is part of my life both on and off the field. In school I have been granted special appointment of Command Sergeant Major, one of only two in my grade. This rank allows me to be the leader of the Color Guard and I am in charge of all Color Guard activities. This separates me from my peers because I have been given the responsibility to make sure that neither I nor others around me fail. Similar to an athletic team, we work together to achieve every success.
