William Boerema '15 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer from the time I lived in Spain as a four year old.  At a very young age, I developed a passion for playing GK, enjoying being in the position to keep my team in the game.  By the time we moved to Puerto Rico, I joined one the best local clubs, Fraigcomar CF, and played GK full-time and really enjoyed it.  My team came to count on me and my abilities to make key saves when it mattered most.  Since my return to Buffalo New York in 2006, I have devoted most of my free time to playing GK and improving my skills through a variety of camps and GK coaches, earning the starting position on my high school team as a Freshman, playing in the NYS Catholic HS Finals twice, and making all conference my first three seasons on the team.  My hard work and dedication to being the best GK possible helped me to earn a position on the NYW ODP team for three years. 

I am currently playing for the Empire Revolution Premier team.  The level of training, coaching and competition I’m involved in with this club is really preparing me to play at the next level.  In addition to working hard in the classroom, I plan to use the last two years to improve my GK abilities further, continue to test myself against top competition, and hopefully lead my high school team to a NYS Catholic HS Championship.
