Griffin Cowles '16 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to continue to play soccer in college at a selective academic institution that will position me for future career success.  I am a National Honor Society member and challenge myself with a full honors level course load. I began playing soccer at age 8 and have progressed as a player to now competing at the highest competition levels.  My club team is a three time state cup champion and as a team we have competed at regionals reaching the semi-finals in 2012 and playing in the Region 1 Premier League in 2013.  I am a starting central midfielder for both my high school and club teams. I played DAP soccer for FC Bolts Celtic as a freshman on the 98 preacademy team but decided as a sophomore that I wanted to play for my school so returned to playing high school soccer in the Fall and showcase club soccer in Winter/Spring.  I am skilled player with both strong offensive and defensive abilities/instincts.  While my primary position is central midfielder as mentioned, I have the ability to play multiple positions and have played outside mid, centerback and fullback when needed by my coaches at both the high school and academy/club levels.  I appreciate your consideration of me as a potential player for your team and commit to you that I will always put forth maximum effort and represent the team well both on and off the field.
