Hello, my name is Isaac Wren, and I would like to introduce myself to you as a student athlete who is interested in academics and sports at your school. I may have contacted your school last year, and if so, I would like to provide an update as to my past 2013 fall season, and my previous 2012 season.
I live in Ashland, Missouri where I am a junior at the Southern Boone School District. I have a strong academic background (3.2 GPA) in which I have taken advanced math classes, such as senior level “Math Analysis”, and look to take college algebra my senior year. I am a member of the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and participate in various school activities.
In soccer, I am the starting varsity goalkeeper for Southern Boone High School. We finished this past season with another final four state playoff accomplishment. I would like to share with you our team, and my, accomplishments the past two high school seasons:
FALL 2013 TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
· Final Four State Playoffs (3rd Place)
· Final State Ranking – 3rd
· Record: 29-2
· Goals Scored: 165 (State Record)
· Goals Allowed: 20 (16 Shutouts)
ISAAC WREN – 2013 Post-Season Honors
· 1st Team All District
· Central Missouri and St. Louis All Region Team (second consecutive year)
· All Region “Goalkeeper of the Year” (second consecutive year)
· 2nd Team All State
FALL 2012 TEAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
· Final Four State Playoffs (2nd Place)
· Final State Ranking – 2nd
· Record: 27-4
· Goals Scored: 135
· Goals Allowed: 17 (19 Shutouts)
ISAAC WREN – 2012 Post-Season Honors
· 2nd Team All District
· Central Missouri and St. Louis All Region Team
· All Region “Goalkeeper of the Year”
My personal interests include finance and business, fitness and conditioning, and working out daily with challenging cardio and weight programs. I am currently 6’2” tall (expected to still grow several inches), and weigh 185 lbs. My athleticism, strength and high jumping ability help me out in goal. I am also very strong verbally with instructing and guiding my teammates on the field. One of my major goals (dreams) is to play college soccer, to take it to the next level of competition. I love playing soccer, and strive to get better every second I spend practicing.
Another goal of mine is to be a fitness or athletic trainer (with some background in business). I am really into fitness and weight lifting, and would lover to learn more to help me improve, and work with others towards physical fitness. This past summer I worked two jobs. The first was as a “sports nanny” for two middle school boys, in which I “babysat” two middle school boys with the parents paying me to develop and provide physical fitness and sports activities for their sons. The second job was as a lifeguard at our community swim pool, where I regularly conditioned by swimming laps, and enjoyed working with young kids.
I believe I have a lot to offer your institution as a student athlete, both on the field and off. I believe your school would be a great fit for my personal dreams of college soccer and getting a quality education. If it is relevant to your school, my father works at Columbia College, which is a member of the "Tuitition Exchange" program. I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Isaac A. Wren
