Michael Teller '18 Recruiting Profile

I currently play for the Vardar U-15/16 Academy team and have played for the Vardar club for 6 years.  I consider myself a very strong, smart, and athletic soccer player.  Over the past six years I have typically been the team captain including on the current 16 Academy team.

Historically I have played a center defensive midfield position but have filled the role of center back when our defense needs some help.  This season I have been the starting Center Back for our team because this is a role that we needed filled.   I had a lot of success in controlling the play while in mid-field and these skills have enabled me to transition to the center back role without any issues.  My strengths are that I can switch the ball very well as well as clear the ball, not just out of the back field to space but to a player.   I can move off the ball and find open spaces we can exploit.  Finally, my work ethic on and off the field is very strong.  

In 2013 my '00 team won the Michigan state cup, went to the regionals and made it to the semifinals.

For the 2014-15 season  our U14 Academy team was ranked number one in the nation.  We successfully played LA Galaxy, New York Red Bull and FC Golden State during the end of the year showcase.  

Summer 2015 I went to Ireland to play in the Dale Farm Milk Cup with AS Roma USA.
