Playing soccer has not only given me the chance to experience the challenges of competition, it has more importantly allowed me the opportunity to continue to learn and grow as a person. Through soccer I continue to learn valuable life lessons about having a purpose and goals, being dedicated and working hard to achieve them, while balancing personal drive with selflessness for the good of my team.
My academic goal for high school is to continue to maintain an honor roll GPA each semester. I haven’t decided on a college major at this point, however I am committed to maintaining a high GPA in my college studies because I understand that it will carry forward as I start a career after college.
Beyond sports and school, I am also active in my community as a soccer camp counselor in the summer, and as a referee for the local youth soccer organization in the fall. I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to share my passion for soccer and help to teach the next generation of players. I hope that I am able to continue to set a positive example and instill in them the same love of the game that I’ve had since I first played as a 4 year old.
