To all interested coaches, my high school soccer program had only last year entered into a competitive district program prior to that they competed in a recreational high school district. Last year was the first year of competitive district, to which we advanced to the semi-final of our district beaten by the eventual winners. A top 25 state ranked squad. This has made me fear that I will not gain the exposure to succeed in college. This is one of the reasons I signed up for NCSA. However, since then I have moved to a top school in the state of Kansas. My name is Killian Gorman, and I am an influential striker/midfield player. I have played the game starting at youth level when I was U-6, I am a fun-loving guy, who loves this sport. I have an excellent work ethic, I am usually the first one on the pitch, and always the last to leave. I have been team captain for several of the squads I have played on. I have at times been asked by my coaches to fulfill other roles i.e. holding midfield, either flank, and on occasion goalkeeper. I am 6' 1", 155 lbs, I have good speed, excellent balance, also I have excellent endurance. In the off-season, I ran long distance in track. On the pitch, I am a commanding leader even if not team captain. I am constructive of my teammates around me, and try to be an example to the 7th and 8th grade JV players. I have excellent, close, control skill, and good vision and awareness of the playing field around me, I am a great all around team player. I skipped second grade, due to my academic achievement. Which is why I am a junior at 15 instead of 16. In the off-season I play for other soccer programs, which travel to district games, and competitions. These are recreational leagues as of to date, due to financial restrictions. I have been evaluated by competitive athletic clubs, and I have been told that I am more than qualified for their programs. In my most recent year of recreational soccer, I was the lead goal scorer, scoring 30 goals in 14 games. I also made 26 assists, as the teams lead assister. It is my dream to play college sports, and then to play professional or semi-professional. I would really prefer a school that has cool weather, and has quality training grounds. However, if you reassure me that you're school is worth it, I will not hesitate to consider it. I have no preference in the "type" of school, Big or small, D1 or NAIA, if you have a quality program, I guarantee you I will be very interested in your program. I said earlier, that my family is tight on my money, this meaning that I will probably need some sort of financial aid going into college. I plan to major in Kinisieology, and minor in business management. My goal, aside from soccer, is to first, be an athletic trainer for a few years. This then leads into my ultimate goal, which is to run a sporting goods business, with a staff of athletic trainers. I want to be able to play as a freshman, and also make an impact on a team. I would love to play D1, but if I am not qualified, I will not waste my time. Any college that has an interest in me, I have an interest in them. To all coaches, I am the player your school has been looking for, and I have been looking for a school like yours. I have immeasurable heart and work ethic, I love the game with all my heart, and I will NEVER quit. I will leave everything I have on that pitch and more, and I will never cease to give that. If you have interest in me, I greatly appreciate it, whether or not I go to school with you or not, it is a great honor to even be considered to play college soccer. Thank you.
