The sport of soccer has been and will continue to be the activity I constantly desire to
take part in. Ever since my parents gave me a soccer ball, at the age of four, it has been
almost impossible for them to take it away. They have mentored me to keep my mind
and body sharp not only in athletics, but especially in academics. As a student-athlete, I
take pride in my school work and am always striving to keep my grades to the high
standard that I hold for myself. I have played a variety of sports in addition to soccer
which include baseball, track and field, wrestling, and cross country. I also fit in a
demanding part-time job doing landscaping. Working long days in the scorching
summer rays is not easy. Each one of these activities has shaped me into the young
man I am today. I've learned to work for the things that I want because there is always
someone better than you and doing more to reach the same goal.
I am humbled by the unique characteristics others have identified in me.
Self-motivated, I continue to improve myself each and everyday, on and off of the field
and classroom. I never waste an opportunity to improve my skills with the ball, my
endurance, and strength. I embrace a very busy schedule because I know it will be
beneficial for me in the future at college. I enjoy learning from many other great players
and have obtained an exceptional soccer IQ. I'm a versatile player do to my impressive
skill and calmness on the ball. My above average stamina is another strong point. I
have always been a natural leader, and continue to be one on all of my teams. I do this
by bringing a very key factor to the table, reliability. Being reliable is very important and I
love being the guy that is counted on every day. I enjoy seeing my teammates succeed
and would rather give an assist over a goal in any game. The main goal in college is to
graduate with honors and receive a useful degree. I want to be a key factor at a
prestigious collegiate soccer program as well. With that being said, I'm willing to put it
all on the line, and do whatever it takes, to one day achieve my goal of becoming a
Professional Soccer Player.
