Jacob Stieb '11 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches,

My name is Jacob Stieb from Highland, IL. I am a 20 year old, 6'0 160 lbs. college sophomore attending Southwestern Illinois College. I was recruited by  Coach Larry Petri to attend his Blue Storm Mens soccer team, where I have been a starter in the defensive mid position for the past 2 years.  I also would fill the outside midfield and sweeper positions when  needed.   I have spent the last 2 years working hard at gaining strength and endurance to be able to maintain a 90 minute (120 if OT) game. I have had to adjust from the intensity level and speed of high school and club soccer, to the college intensity level and I loved every minute of it!I have been honored to have had the chance to play fulltime for the Blue Storm Team, but I am also really excited and eager to further my soccer career for the next 2 years.

Soccer has always been a passion for me.  I live it, play it, ref it and train it, and try to give back to the youth so we can contine to build players for the future. I have been very blessed with the coaches & trainers that I have had in my life to get me this far, and I am confident that I can continue to excel to the next level wherever this may lead me.
