Lyric De Leon '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lyric De Leon and I am a senior at Kapolei High School in Kapolei, Hawaii.

I am a very determined person on the field and off the field. I work hard to be the best that I can be and I never give up because I only want to get better. I started playing soccer when I was 6 years old at the AYSO level and then I moved to a higher level league. I was one of the last three players to get put on the Varsity team my freshman year of high school, but I ended up winning the starting position for left back over an upper classmen and played the most minutes the whole season over everyone on the team. During sophomore year I was named as one of the five captains towards the end of the season. I was captain my whole junior year and was put on the OIA First team and Scoring Live All-State First team. I have attended 3 college soccer camps and I am taking what the college coaches have taught me and am working on those aspects of my game.

Some words that describe me are committed, hard-worker, determined, leader, coachable, and reliable. I am committed to working hard to get better in soccer and to get the best grades I can get in school. I work hard every time I hit the field and I also try to help my teammates get better.

I want to play college soccer at the highest level and strive as a student-athlete. My main goal is to become a professional soccer player and I will train everyday to hopefully accomplish that.
