Freshman year taught me a lot about myself and soccer. I was good enough to make the varsity team but it wasn't enough to make the starting team. It was a good year. I was a part of a regional championship team that year. It really was a wake up call to make myself better as a player. I worked all throughout the season and during off season training to become better, and sure enough when season came around I made the starting team in my sophomore year. Talent and skill can make you a good player but, grit, team work, and leadership are all essential in becoming a great player.
Junior year was another unforgettable season. That year, I began scoring goals and my team won the regional championship once again. From then on, I was certain that I wanted to go on to the next level as a student athlete.
Also during my junior year I was a three sport varsity athlete and even with practicing all year round I was still able to keep my grades up and I was never on academic probation. I am looking forward to joining a program where I fit in academically as well as athletically.
