My name is Ryan McAdoo and I would like to share some information about myself with you. I am five feet eight inches tall and weigh one hundred and sixty five pounds. My speed is above average but I make up for not being the quickest guy by possessing a strong, solid build. My strength enables me to defend players that are faster than I am. My ability to anticipate the ball, see the entire field for opportunities and to react quickly when receiving the ball are all attributes I possess that make me a strong force on the field. I play center back for my club team and center midfielder for my high school team. I have been playing soccer on the premier level since I was in middle school. For my senior year high school season, I was First Team All League. My sophomore and junior year, I was Second Team All League.I have played on the varsity soccer team since my Freshman year in high school. Both my Sophomore year and Junior year, I was presented with the Most Valuable Player award. I am a very good leader because of my work ethic and my love for the game. I am the captain of my club team. I lead by example and am very vocal once I step on the field. I am also captain of my high school team and have been the captain since my sophomore year. My high school coach placed me in this role for the same recognition of attributes that my premier coach sees in me. I work very hard on my own and in practice. Preparing myself to play both mentally and physically before every game is important to me. I could not imagine not playing soccer once I am finished with high school. Playing soccer at the collegiate level has always been a dream and a goal of mine. I want to go to a school where I can play soccer as well as receive an education that will prepare me to be successful in life. My goal is to attend a college that offers physical education/health education with the possibility of a minor in coaching. A Division Two or Division Three college would be a suitable place for my athletic ability and skills although I am open to all options. A medium size school where the academic level is as competitive as the sports program would best meet my needs. My family lives in New England, therefore, a suitable location for me to attend college would be within the same region. In conclusion, I can offer a positive influence both on and off the field. I possess a passion for the game that keeps me motivated at all times and pushes me to continue to improve my soccer skills and game. My passion and motivation are always visible and encourage my team to work with me to improve overall performance as a team. Thank you for your consideration.
