My name is Ryan De Lello. I am currently a Junior Captain on the Varsity Soccer Team at Wamogo Regional High School in Litchfield, Connecticut. I have played on the Varsity team as a starter since my freshman year.
In the school offseason, I am a player for CFC United (99) Regional Team, coached by Graciano Brito. I have played on the CFC United team in the 2013 and 2014 Seasons as a starting midfielder and Captain. CFC United placed 2nd place in the Connecticut State Cup finals in both 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Prior to playing on the CFC United team, I played with the CFC Gunners Team for 2 years. The Gunners team was coached by Olgert Dalipi who is also the Assistant Coach to Connecticut Central State University (CCSU) and a former Albanian national team player. Coach Olgert engrained in me the high work ethic that is expected of top-tier players and have worked very diligently to meet that expectation.
Before going to the Gunners, I played on the SoccerPlus Premier team for 4 years starting at age 9. The team was coached by Chris Bart-Williams. It was truly an amazing experience being trained by a former World-Cup player and UK Premier Player for Sheffield Wednesday. While with SoccerPlus, I was a starting midfielder and Coach Chris taught us the meaning of uniformity and discipline on and off the field.
In order to stay in peak physical shape, I train privately with The Parisi Speed School in Bristol, Connecticut twice a week. Utilizing a rigorous physical regimen and targeted exercises I am able to maintain a very high work rate and quick recovery while on the pitch, which has enabled me to start and play the entire game.
I take my personal accomplishments seriously. While off the pitch, I have worked hard in my sophomore and junior years while enrolled in several AP classes and honors classes. I was also voted “Peer Leader” during my sophomore year for my role in mentoring students with special needs over the course of the year. That honor is usually reserved for seniors.
I am working hard to try to realize my goals and dreams which include playing at the highest level of soccer. I would love to be given the opportunity to show you what I am capable of and what I have learned as well as to be taught new things.
Thank you,
Ryan De Lello
