Chris Tumasone '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Chris Tumasone, I have been playing soccer for 10 years. I truly have a passion for the sport of soccer.  If I am not playing I am usually watching professional soccer on television and will get up as early as 4 AM to watch the best of Europe.  I am confident this passion will enable me to compete at the collegiate level.

My high school career consisted of three years as a varsity starter; however, the varsity coach pulled me up for two games my freshman year.  I primarily played outside back, either side because I am ambidextrous.  Even as an outside back I led our team in goals entering league play my senior year.  Though my aggressive style has earned a few yellow cards, many consider me as one of the most aggressive players in the league.  As team captain for the past two years I was able to motivate our team on and off the field.  Prior to league games I would host our team at my house to get "fired up".  Once on the field I was very vocal in direction and motivation as well.  Some considered me too intense; however, in my opinion there is no such thing in competitive sports.  As a junior and senior I was voted the team's MVP and earned First Team All Foothill League.  

My club team, currently ranked in the top 50 nationally, competes in the highly competitive Cal South Premier League and was a finalist in the Cal South National Cup tournament as well as the Cerritos Memorial Cup.  Our team also participated in the prestigious San Diego Surf Cup.  I also play outside back for my club team.  My aggressive style and quiet demeanor has earned me the title "silent assassin", per Coach Blane Shepard, L. A. Galaxy. 

I am looking forward to fulfilling my dream to play at the next level.  I have no constraints in regards to the location and/or size of a college or university.  Hopefully we can speak soon to discuss how I can help your program.
