I started playing soccer in 2013 when I was in 5th grade and I really never had the interest in playing any sports but I was joined in AYSO and from then I started growing a big interest in soccer and have been working hard since then to achieve my dreams to become a professional soccer player. Even though there were many struggles and being constantly teased and laughed at by the way I played soccer on and off the pitch but I did not let that get into me. Even though I started playing late and everyone else I knew played since they were kids I never gave up and that's what still keeps me getting better day by day improving the way I play. I think about 40% of my dream is accomplished by getting into High School soccer and most of the people I knew did not make it or quit playing.
After 2 years of hard work since 2013, I made the top United team and I was the worst player on the team because all the players over there had very good skill and I never started in the games and my playing times were really low. But that did not bring me down I kept working harder and started getting better and performing better in practices and games and after 4 months of hard work I finally started to start the games and play the whole game with making a big impact on the field. So now I am in the West High Soccer team starting games as a center back and grinding and never backing down and working harder then ever. Academically, I work very hard as much as I practice soccer. I have a perfect score in my grade in high school with all A's in my honor and regular classes. This is the same thing as soccer work hard and the results show. Coming to practice is attending class and doing homework and games re your tests. The harder you work the better results you will get in anything. Soccer has taught me many life skills that I will keep with me forever in my life.
Even though I started late that did not really mean anything to me and kept working harder at Soccer with my strong determination and never backing down. This has made me successful and who I am now. I am still not satisfied and want to improve every aspect of my game until it is perfected. I want to take my skill to college level and with a lot more hard work I want to become a well known professional soccer player and if any colleges out there pick me , they should know how hard working I am, and even if I don't make there requirements I will work even harder till they accept me. This is what makes me different then other people I work and grind and get good results and that's what makes me a good player.
