Although I had a pretty rough start in life, sports have always been the one constant, the thing I could count on. Soccer, in particular, has been my passion since I was 6 years old.
I am now a key contributer and captain for the North Coast club team and also a starter for my high school team. I maintain an excellent conditioning level and typically play the full 90 minutes, primarily as a center midfielder where I excel at ball distribution. I am very aggressive with balls in the air and win many headers.
My playing style is efficient and quick, I focus on off-the-ball movement and impact the game offensively and defensively. I am most effective as a holding mid, but also impact the attacking end.
My coaches have told me I am very coachable and have good heads up play. I understand coach’s instructions and implement them during the game. I have a solid work ethic and a great understanding of the game. I am a competitor and I like to win, but I also have a mental toughness that allows me to remain calm and make good decisions in high-pressure situations.
Most of my time is dedicated to soccer, school and family, but I also help my club by coaching in summer soccer camps, and refereeing.
My goal is to play soccer in college. I am interested in psychology and behavior analysis. I would like to attend a school where I can succeed on the soccer field as well as in the classroom. Ideally I would like to play at the highest competitive level that I possibly can, make an immediate impact on the team and successfully earn my degree.
