Ever since I was 5 years old, I have had an interest in soccer and expressed that interest by playing in AYSO. Along with soccer, I played a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, and football. At age 14, I decided to put those other sports aside to focus solely on soccer. This decision led me to join my current club, Sporting SD, (formerly known as Oranje Voetbal Club), where I have been a team captain for the last two seasons.
Over my club and high school career, I have demonstrated strong versatility and have adapted well to the different positions that I have played, including both offensive and defensive. I believe that my coachability and positive attitude help make me an asset to any squad. I am dedicated to helping my team win, even if it means changing positions. I take advantage of every chance I get to gain an edge over an opponent by doing things like taking care of my body through healthy eating and doing extra work after practices. Soccer has taught me hard work, endurance, and discipline. I am committed to finding areas of improvement and working on them in order to make myself a better player.
While excelling at soccer is a personal goal, my academic performance is even more important. Throughout my years of schooling, I have maintained a 4.0 GPA while taking numerous honors courses. I plan to continue this academic standard during college while earning a degree in Business Management.
I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the success of my future school.
