Joseph Renteria '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a hardworking student and athlete. I am a versatile player with years of club experience as a forward/striker or attacking midfield player.  I have also played on the defensive line.  I am eager to play at the next level of competition.  I am looking for an opportunity to play collegiate soccer to help my team compete for a championship. I am most comfortable playing in the attacking position but I am willing to support my team in any position of need.

I would like to be recognized as a student athlete with success both on the field and classroom; so I plan on working hard.

I bring three years of Varsity Soccer experience: Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Year.  I was awarded the Athletic Scholar Award/Honor Roll, for Soccer, Sophomore Year.

I lead my club, and league in scoring this fall season - Murrieta Surf Soccer Club 2013-2014 (10 Goals). My club team won league this past Fall 2014.

Some of my team success includes - Murrieta Surf Soccer Club, Tournament Champions of Crown City Classic 2013 (U-19), Coronado CA

and

Inter Murrieta FC, Tournament Champions (U-19), Barcelona Cup 2011, Temecula. CA.

(* I was hand selected by my club to play up, from U-16 division, with U-19 team; and scored a goal.  I have been comfortable playing up in divisions with higher skilled players and competition.)

On the education path, I plan on majoring in Music (the studio and production side), sports medicine/Kinesiology, or possibly business management/administration.

Most recently in High School Soccer 2013/2014, I was recognized as All-League, Second Team.
