James Alexander Jakowatz '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6 ft 1 in, 185 pound forward/ attacking mid from Northwood High School in Irvine California. I have been competing at the club level since  I was 7 years old. I was big for my age and fearless, so I played as a goalkeeper at the BU9 level.  My current club team within the Irvine Soccer Academy, has participated in and won quite a few big tournaments such as Nomads Cup, Albion Cup, as well as California Cup. I am a hard worker and I have great soccer knowledge. I feel  my best assets are my understanding of the progression of the ball down the field, my position on the field, my awareness of my teammates, and my tenacity to finish in the box.  I am striving to steadily improve my game and have  a determination to be the best player that I can be. I  have no preference to where I plan to attend college.  I feel I want to try somewhere out of California to experience life elsewhere , but I truly am open to play anywhere.   I don't know exactly what I plan to study but my initial interests are in business, banking, and finance. I would like to play at the highest level of competition I possibly can. I know I have what it takes and the work ethic to make it happen.
