Troy Dumlao '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Troy Dumlao, I am a 18 year old senior from Fullerton, California.  I started practicing soccer at age 3, playing soccer at age 5 and moved up to playing competitive soccer at age 10.  I was a captain on both my club soccer team and varsity high school soccer team my junior year, and again captain of my varsity high school team my senior year.  On my club team my primary position is midfield.  As a sophomore, junior and senior I was a varsity starter for my high school team playing mostly midfield and on occasion forward.   My sophomore year I received the coaches most spirited award for my hard work and dedication.  As a junior I again received the coaches award for outstanding effort and was voted to 1st Team All-League.  As a senior I received the team MVP award, Most Valuable Offensive Player award, was voted to 1st Team All-League and was invited to be on the Southern California High School All Star Team. I also run cross country and track for my high school teams.  To date my biggest accomplishment is being invited to the U17 National Team invitational tryout for the west coast the summer of 2009 and being rated in the top 20 out of 90.  At this time I do not have a preference as to the size or location of the college I may attend.  I want to go to a college where I can continue my soccer career at a high level while continuing my education.  I truly believe I can make a big contribution to any team.  I am dedicated, an extremely hard worker, I have a good attitude and soccer is my passion.
