I am Juan Magalhães from Brazil, currently living in California. I am a Junior at the Cate School in Carpinteria/CA, where I have a full scholarship to play soccer and study. I've been playing club soccer since I was 11 years old. In Brazil, I went to ISC - International School of Curitiba, where I learned English and played soccer for two years. Resilience has been part of my life since I was a little kid and has shaped my future since then. It infected me early, I worked hard every day and did not let anyone tell me what I could and could not acquire in my life. I made it my goal to do what people would never expect of me, and I reached places that some people only dream of.
