I started playing soccer when I was five years old. My initial view of playing then was for fun which has turned into a personal passion to play college level soccer. I fell in love with soccer because the game is unpredictable; but most of all, soccer brings a group of people together to strive for the same goal. Another reason why I am passionate for soccer is that the game challenges me to become a better player. My desire is to play for a college soccer program at the highest level possible.
As a player on a field, I am confident and focused on creating opportunities while organizing my team. Several things that I bring to the game is communication and organization; in addition to, the ability to defend and attack 1 v 1 situations. I play Center Striker, Left Wing, or Left Back. I prefer to play Left Back because I like to create opportunities from the width of the field and defend against attackers in 1 v 1 situations.
The most recent achievement in club soccer is when my club team, BU19 Crescenta Valley Soccer Club (CVSC), participated in the PATS Cup Tournament this past July 2016. I assisted my team in winning all group play games and was placed #1 in the group bracket to move on to the Finals. We won the Finals and was awarded 2016 PATS Cup BU19 Champions. My past accomplishments are 2013 Official Honoree-Player of the Year for Los Angeles Football Club, Player of the Game John Burroughs vs. West Ranch in December 2014 ,and leading goal scorer for the BU14 CVSC which led the team to be Champions in the SOCAL Summer Showcase in 2014.
In high school play as a Freshman, I played Junior Varsity; and, as a Sophomore, played Varsity. In the 2015/2016 Season, my second season in Varsity, I was awarded First Team All League and Second Team All Area. Although, I was a Left Back on the Varsity. my team awarded me Best Offensive Player for being the lead scorer for the season. As a Senior this Fall 2016, I played Varsity for the third year, leading my team being Captain, and aggressively defend as a Left Back starter. Assisted the team in winning Division 3, Pacific League; and, advanced to the Quarter-Finals in Conference. I recently got selected to play in the 2017 Southern California Senior Allstar Showcase in Costa Mesa in March 2017.
I am a hard-working student with a current GPA of 4.12. I have been in the California Scholarship Federation(CSF) for four years and have done approximately 30 hours of community service. As a Senior, I am currently a CSF tutor and a member of the Sports Medicine Club in John Burroughs High School. I want to go to a college that provides an excellent education focusing on classes in Physical and Biological Sciences.
