Matthew Bova '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Matt Bova. I am currently a senior at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, PA. I am 6'1" tall and weigh 210 lbs. I was introduced to lacrosse in 5th grade and have been playing year-round ever since. I will be attending the Dick's Tournament of Champions over New Year's with the Central PA Dawgs, and cannot wait to compete with such impressive talent. Also, I have been playing football since 2nd grade. I am the starting left tackle. My team won the District III Championship and played in the State Semi-finals game. I believe the different aspects of lacrosse and football complement each other and have made me a better player and all-around person. I am a defenseman and pride myself in leading the defense and being aware of everything that is occurring on the field. Along with this, I am strong academically and work hard both on and off the field. My courses include AP as well as Honors classes. I am a member of the National Honors Society and participate in after-school club activities such as Chinese Club and Office Club. In addition, I engage in community service through church and local organizations. I also play the trombone. I am interested in attending a college located in Pennsylvania or the surrounding states. I do not have a preference for school size but wish to attend a school known for academic excellence. My goal is to major in biomedical engineering. I believe I would be an asset to both the school and your lacrosse organization. I look forward to helping out the team in any way I can and appreciate the opportunity to meet you.
