Sophomore HighlightsCharles Schooler ...Personal Statement
My love for lacrosse started in third grade on the Bulldog lacrosse program where everyone earned a nickname. Mine is Pitchfork because I was the best poke checker on the team. This foundation of fun and praise became infectious. I love the camaraderie of team sports.
My proudest high school lacrosse moment to date is my sophomore season. In a nutshell, I started the season playing only JV and ended scoring one of the four goals during the State Championship game for the Varsity team. Although we lost in double overtime, I know that I left everything I had and more on the field. This experience makes me hungry for another opportunity for a lacrosse title.
I believe that I have a lot to offer a lacrosse program and college. My teachers nominated me for Leadership Counsel and say that I have a fresh creative perspective. I am not sure what that means but I know that I am compassionate, love to have fun, tend to defend the underdog and I am open to new opportunities.
