My Name is Christopher Oballe, I am 16 years old and a junior in high school. Most importantly, my goal is to receive the best college education possible that I will be able to use the rest of my life in my career or profession. Secondly, I would like to take part in the college experience by playing lacrosse at the college level. I have played for seven years and feel that lacrosse has helped in my growth as a player and as a person. I am interested in a program that uses the style of defense that I play as a close defender or long pole middie. I am a position defender using footwork and angles to defend against a player applying efficient and accurate checks. I am as comfortable defending from up top as I am down low, I will force a player to go to his weak side or take a shot from a poor angle and trust my goalie make the easier save. I pride myself on being a smart player, learning and using a players tendencies, strengths or weaknesses to help my team. I always strive to improve my game by training, working on technique and learning from the coaches that I have been lucky to come accross. I would welcome the opportunity to play for either a new program, an established one or a program commited to improve their season.
