I guess you can say I was a late bloomer when it came to playing the game of lacrosse. Neither one of my parents were familiar with the sport. My father loved the game of baseball and pushed me in that direction and was my coach. However, during the spring of 5th grade I decided I would give the sport of lacrosse a try. Once I started lacrosse I immediately became obsessed with it. Canandaigua, NY, which is where I am from, has a great youth program and helped me become the player that I am now. Through the youth program I was allowed to try all the different positions that lacrosse has to offer. It was not until my 7th grade modified team that I developed a passion for defense and have played that ever since.
I am a hard worker and am very coachable. As a matter of fact, this past spring I had my 7th grade modified team coach tell me that I was the most improved player that he has seen in his 16 years of coaching of lacrosse. This statement has given me a greater reason to push myself to become the best that I can be.
My parents have instilled in me the value of a strong work ethic and the responsibilities that one needs to incur to facilitate their dreams, goals, and motivations. As a result, when I have a goal to reach, I dedicate myself to achieving that task
