Jacob Monette '13 Recruiting Profile

I have always been extremely interested in lacrosse and wish to play on a college team. I have been playing lacrosse since 6th grade and made the varsity team as an 8th grader. I started for the second half of that season. I then started again as a Freshmen and scored 28 goals and had 15 assists. As a Sophomore, I scored 54 goals with 22 assists and was named the team's most improved player.  I am constantly toying with sticks and equipment so I am able to string most any stick to work for any player. I am known as the team's "stick doctor". I love everything to do with lacrosse. I'm on the field as much as I can be.  I'm usually the last one to leave practice as I stay to shoot around after everyone else has left. I'm also committed to my school work. I currently have a 3.2 GPA and take all college-prep and AP classes.  I have made a contract with my father to raise my GPA to or above a 3.5 for the remainder of my high school years. I am extremely dedicated to this game and to being a collegiate athelete. As for the types of schools I am interested in, I am interested in studying law or criminal justice and am looking for a school with one of those programs. I am not the least bit concerned as to the size of the school, I intend to play my hardest and be the best that I can be, no matter where I play lacrosse.
