Mitchell Andres '14 Recruiting Profile

Entering my 13th year of lacrosse after  starting as a varsity attackman at East Lyme High School, I will be attending Berkshire School for a post graduate year making me a 2014 graduate. I am currently playing  year round and start on very successful summer club teams, Team IAS and Fierce lacrosse, along with the fall lacrosse team Rip - It Elite. I am a hard worker on and off the field, whether it be in practice, at performance training, or in the classroom and I'm always the first one ready on the field. I have been selected as captain on all teams when eligible. This year, I was selected as captain for both indoor track, and one of three captains for the  2013 high school lacrosse season. At the completion of the indoor track season, I was presented with the 2013 Leadership Award.

Last season (2012), I made the 2012 CT Super Junior Team, naming me one of the top 12 junior attackmen in Connecticut. In July 2012, I attended the Blue Chip 225 at Bryant University and was selected for the varsity All-Star Team. More recently, I have been named a 2013 Brine All-American and represented New England for the Brine national games in Boyds, Maryland, July 1-3,and was selected for the Brine All-Star team. Finishing at East Lyme High School, I made first team All-State, first team All-Conference, and first team All Area for both local media – The Norwich Bulletin and The Day.

Presently, I'm interested in institutions that offer degrees in business,economics and history. Ideally, I would like to stay close to New England or anywhere in the east, but I'm open to going anywhere geographically. As far as the size of the school, it doesn’t matter. I would like to play lacrosse anywhere I am wanted, but will choose the best academic school no matter what level of lacrosse.
