I started playing hockey when I was 4 years old and have grown to love the game, the friendships and the competition. By the time that I was a Squirt (age 9), I knew that I wanted to play Elite hockey and someday progress to a college player. I recognize that playing sports in college is a privilege and a once in a lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I have been selected team captain the last 3 years and always strive to be the hardest worker and do what it takes to support the team.
In the classroom, I study hard and currently have a 4.00 GPA. I have learned that similar to hockey -- working hard in the classroom nets good results. It is important to me to not only be the best that I can be on the ICE, but in the classroom as well.
My goal is to find a college/university where I can pursue both my passion for hockey and my college education. I'm open to all opportunities that support these 2 goals.
