Michael Weber '15 Recruiting Profile

I am a full right hybrid butterfly goalie.  I have been officiating for 6 years in addition to playing hockey for over 10 years as a goalie and also skating as a defenseman during my early hockey days.  So I "see" the game in front of me and read the plays very well.  Having that knowledge of the game and experience also helps make me a team leader.  I'm comfortable playing the puck and make sure my team knows where the puck is going and how they can best help me keep the puck out of the net.  I've always been a good team mate and get along well with my team and coaching staff.  I prefer a more structured and disciplined program.  I'm usually my own worst critic and I take every goal personally though I'm also good about letting it go quickly and focusing on making the next save.   I'm a good student and plan to study nursing as a pre-med course of study.  I feel nursing is a good career option and a profession I will be proud to be a part of.  It will be a good career start if I want to go further in medicine or many other options too.  I'm a hard worker on and off the ice as well as at the study table.
