Winning the Eden Prairie “The First Test of the Best” tourney as a Bantam in 2017 was the turning point for me in realizing the actual talent and potential that my team and I really had. Winning that championship game, defeating the #1 ranked team, the “Grand Forks Aviators”, was amazing. In that game I allowed only one goal, giving my team the chance to win. They were able to score two goals and add an empty net goal to seal the deal, winning 3-1. This experience really inspired me to continue to work towards being the best I can be and to play at the highest level possible. In that season, we went on to win the Minnesota Hockey Bantam AA State Title in which I backstopped the team throughout the playoffs.
Playing at the highest level is extremely important to me but academics are even more important. I have currently earned a GPA of 3.60 out of 4.0 at White Bear Lake Senior High School. I have done so through hard work and dedication to my education. In addition, I have also played the Bass in the Orchestra for several years. It rounds me as a person, provides a mental release and contributes to manual dexterity. I feel that my dedication to personal development will allow me to become an asset and contributing member of any organization as well as society as a whole.
I feel that I lead by example through demonstrating a great work ethic and athleticism derived from being a multi-sport athlete and exceptional student. Other sports that I do/have played are football, lacrosse, tennis, and baseball. I was captain of my football team three years in a row. Another sport in which I have participated is the martial art of Karate. Through karate, I learned discipline and developed my athleticism. These two aspects are extremely important in Karate and I believe have had a profound affect on who I am as a person and athlete.
In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors. I love spending time up north at the lake boating, fishing and wake boarding. In addition, I ride snowmobiles, ATVs and hunt. The outdoors allow me the chance to unplug and have fun.
Leadership, discipline, athleticism, and coach-ability are all aspects of a great athlete. I would be a great addition to any team. If you put me on the ice with a bunch of other athletes I will easily be the hardest worker and by far the most coach-able. So all in all, I am a great multi-sport athlete that would love to work for a spot on your team. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you keep me in mind for any opportunity to participate on your team.
