My name is Brady Rappuhn and I am a 5’10” 135 lb left wing who plays a strong two-way game. I am a multi-sport athlete concentrating on hockey and lacrosse. My Freshman year I played varsity hockey for Heritage High School and saw time on both the power play and the penalty kill. Strong work ethic and stick handling skills are my strengths while always continuously striving to improve these skills along with my speed and strength. In addition, I played varsity lacrosse my Freshman year.
I pride myself on being a hard worker both on and off the ice and learning as much as I can about the game. I have been playing travel hockey since I was very young and have always been on teams that continuously challenged me. Over my youth career, I have been able to experience three state championships, along with several trips to international silver sticks. I have also participated in several high-level tournaments, including the Nike Bauer and Warrior AAA tournaments. In addition to travel hockey, I have also participated on several summer teams that traveled to tournaments in Canada and Maine over the years. I truly believe that all of this experience has led me to be the player that I am today and strive to be in the future. Playing at this level has provided me the opportunities to compete at the highest level while improving my performance. I have learned that you need to continue to push yourself to be better and the only way you can do this is to play higher competition.
I believe my positive attitude toward hockey has also translated into my school work. My Freshman year I have been taking honors courses and will be ending with a GPA of 3.5. Going into my Sophomore year I will continue to push myself by taking IB/AP level classes to ensure I will be ready for college. Finding a college that will offer both a challenging academic program where I can pursue studies in the medical field along with a hockey program where I will be a great fit for my level of play is my ultimate goal.
I have always enjoyed and put a lot of effort into the training aspect of hockey. In addition, I understand what it means to be a supportive teammate both on and off the ice. Gaining the respect and approval of my coach and teammates has kept me a driven athlete.
